The annual High School Selection procedures are based on approved SDUHSD School Board policies and administrative regulations.

Residency

Families must currently reside within SDUHSD district boundaries to participate in high school selection.
Students who are currently on an approved Interdistrict transfer cannot make a high school selection during this process.
All current approved Interdistrict transfer students must reapply annually.

Mid-year academy interest list

Interest in Canyon Crest Academy (CCA) and San Dieguito HS Academy (SDHSA)

For the Academy schools, based on space available, an interest list may be opened for newly enrolling students who move into the district and establish residency after the high school selection period. (AR 5116.3)

We are currently assessing enrollment, capacity, and staffing to determine if there are spaces available for additional students at CCA and SDHSA.

Should space become available, an Interest List for eligible new students who wish to attend CCA or SDHSA will be posted here for 2nd Quarter (begins October 13) or 3rd Quarter (begins January 6). If there are more interested students than available spaces, a random lottery will be held to determine which students will be offered enrollment.

In the meantime, for new enrollment in high school, please visit the Enrollment page to enroll in the residential boundary school, La Costa Canyon High School or Torrey Pines High School, as this will expedite transfers if enrollment opens at an Academy school.
