Beth Hergesheimer, President, 2020

Term of Office 2016-2020

Trustee Beth Hergesheimer is a Southern California native and has been a resident of Encinitas for over 20 years. She received her degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources Management from Cal Poly, Pomona and has worked in education, hospital, manufacturing and engineering Human Resource settings. She has served on the San Dieguito Board since 2004 and has completed the California School Boards Association's Masters in Governance certificate program. 

 

Beth has represented local schools on Legislative Advisory Committees traveling to Sacramento to speak on behalf of public education concerns.  While on the San Dieguito Union High School District Board of Trustees, she has served multiple times in each of President, Vice President, and Clerk roles, and is currently representing the San Diego Region as a Delegate to the California School Boards Association.  She has also served as PTA President, School Site Liaison and as Vice President of Health and Safety for PTA, as well as volunteered for 9 years as a member and chairperson for Advisory Committees of two not-for-profit preschools.

 

Beth and her husband, Peter, live in Encinitas. Their three sons have all graduated from district schools.
