What is sduhsd diversity, equity and inclusion?

For a better understanding of the San Dieguito Union High School District Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) program, consider the following goals and purposes:
    • To provide safe, engaging, and inclusive classrooms and activities for all students.
    • Educational equity in SDUHSD simply means that every child in our system feels valued and respected and has access, opportunities, and the support they need to reach their full academic potential and thrive.
    • To understand the stories of our students and their lived experiences within our school system.
    • To review our systems, data and culture to ensure that our school sites are responsive to the needs of all students and where all students can thrive.

Why has SDUHSD chosen to partner with SDCOE?

The San Diego County Office of Education  (SDCOE) is a lead agency of CDE’s California Equity Performance and Improvement Program (CEPIP), which was created to support and build capacity within other county offices of education, districts, and schools statewide to promote equity in California schools.  Due to our proximity and collaboration with with SDCOE, we have been given the opportunity to partner directly with SDCOE’s Equity team.
