Joyce Dalessandro, Trustee

Ms. Dalessandro spent her childhood on Long Island, New York, where she was educated in public schools. After completing her Bachelor's degree at Cornell University in Child Psychology, she furthered her education at Columbia University, receiving a MA in Curriculum Development.  In addition, Ms. Dalessandro has 6 years of classroom teaching experience.

A long-time community volunteer, Joyce is a past President of the Torrey Pines High School Parents Association and represented parents on the District Strategic Planning Committee.  Joyce was a member of the founding committee, a Charter Member of and the first Vice President of Business Fundraising for the newly created TPHS Foundation.  In addition, she worked with members of the San Dieguito High School community to assist in the creation of their Foundation.  Ms. Dalessandro also served as Treasurer of both Grad Nite and Dollars for Scholars as well as actively participating in and heading many other committees and projects.  Ms. Dalessandro was selected by Redbook Magazine as Volunteer of the Year for her work at Torrey Pines High School.  Ms. Dalessandro has held the Board offices of President, Vice-President and Clerk of the Board of Trustees.
 
Joyce and her husband, John, live in Carmel Valley.  Their daughters, Amy and Summer, are graduates of Torrey Pines High School.
