California Voting Rights Act (CVRA)

At it's Board meeting on February 10, 2022, the Board narrowed down the alternate map options to three final selections. Those maps are Scenarios 7, 8 and 1C. Those maps are below. Comments on those three maps will be accepted through Wednesday February 16, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.

It has come to our attention that the Scenario 8 map posted on our website was a duplice of Scenario 7. The variance data was correct. The picture of the map was not. For more detailed information, click the button below.

California Voting Rights Act (CVRA) Map adjustment

You are invited to participate in this important process.

School districts with trustee area systems are required to review and, if necessary, adjust their Trustee Area Map by March 1, 2022, to ensure approximately equal population in each trustee area.  After review of the current trustee areas using the most recent census data, the District’s demographer has determined that the Trustee Area Map is no longer balanced based on population and adjustments must be made under California Education Code 5019.5.

At its meeting on January 11, 2022, the Board approved a process and timeline to adjust the current Trustee Area Map based on the most recent Census data. A Community Input Meeting was held on Monday, January 24, from 5:00-6:00 pm via Zoom. You can view the recorded meeting using this Link.
