Session #5 – November 13, 2025
Today, the District’s negotiation team met with CSEA for the fifth bargaining session. CSEA passed their fifth proposal, which remained unchanged from their prior proposal. The District and CSEA reached agreement on a 1% on-schedule salary increase effective July 1, 2025.
Discussion Highlights:

The parties remain divided on CSEA’s continued request for permanent “me too” language

Session #4 - October 27, 2025
Today, the District’s negotiation team met with CSEA for the fourth bargaining session. The District rejected CSEA’s fourth proposal (passed on October 9, 2025) and presented its own fourth proposal. The District continues to offer a 1% on-schedule salary increase effective July 1, 2025.
Discussion Highlights:

The parties remain at a standstill due to CSEA’s continued request for a permanent “me too” clause

The District reaffirmed that it has no interest in adopting any “me too” language

The District emphasized its commitment to addressing each bargaining unit’s needs separately and expressed appreciation for the work of all classified staff

Today, CSEA and the District exchanged proposals. The following details each proposal exchanged:
SDUHSD Proposal #2:
- 1% on-going salary increase retro to July 1, 2025.
CSEA Proposal #3:
- 2.5% on-going salary increase retro to July 1, 2025
- A “me too” language for the 2026-2027 school year
- An additional longevity step at 35 years of service to the district.

- 1% on-going salary increase retro to July 1, 2025.
CSEA Proposal #4:
- 1% on-going salary increase retro to July 1, 2025
- Permanent “me-too” language

Today marked the initial CSEA negotiation meeting for the 2025–2026 school year, which took place in a positive and collaborative atmosphere. Discussions focused on:
- Article 11: Wages

CSEA Proposal:
- An ongoing 4% salary increase
- A permanent "me too" clause
- Increased longevity benefits at 35 and 40 years

- An ongoing 1% retroactive salary increase, effective July 1, 2025, aligned with certificated staff
- No inclusion of "me too" language or longevity benefit changes
