About the Superintendent

Robert A. Haley, Ed.D. became the Superintendent for the San Dieguito Union High School District on November 1, 2018.  His professional experience in six school districts, and the United State Marine Corps Reserve, has spanned over thirty years and includes time served as a teacher, principal, and district-level administrator. 

 

Dr. Haley has a  B.A. in International Affairs from North Park University, M.A. in Special Education from Chapman University, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California.  He is well-versed regarding school finance issues and the operational aspects of school district management.

 

Dr. Haley is married and has four children. His wife, Alisa, of twenty-five years, is also an educator and is currently Director of Teaching and Learning for Santa Rosa City Schools.

I am very excited to begin my second year here as Superintendent of San Dieguito Union High School District. We have a new vision for San Dieguito Union High School District:

We will continue to work on improving communication this year so that our community knows about all of the exciting things going on in our schools. We will continue our focus on student social emotional learning and wellness for our students and staff. Our efforts are supported by our parents and school-connected organizations and we are grateful for the support.
