Special Programs and Services provide students assistance to meet their behavioral and academic needs. In-school programs like AVID offer pre-collegiate, academic support program for grades 7-12 that prepares students for college eligibility and success. Gifted and Talented Education Programs provide challenging and engaging learning experiences and opportunities for growth that enable children with high potential, talent, and exceptional capacity to develop to their potential. The College and Career Connection is designed to help students make the transition from high school to their chosen career path.
Pupil Services promotes proactive, behavioral and curricular interventions that create an environment which maximize the academic potential for all students. The READI Program is an intensive school based drug and alcohol intervention program dedicated to educating, counseling and supporting the positive development of students, their families and communities struggling with substance abuse issues.
Working in coordination with District departments, sites, staff, parents, community providers, and students, Pupil Services enhances and adjusts behavioral and academic approaches to meet the challenges of a continually changing population of children.
